A: We offer therapy in clients’ homes as well as virtual teletherapy sessions when appropriate.

Q: How long are therapy sessions?

A: Session length depends on your child’s needs, but most therapy sessions are between 30 to 45 minutes.

Q: How often will my child need therapy?

A: Therapy frequency varies based on individual needs. After an evaluation, we’ll discuss a plan that best supports your child’s progress. Frequency can vary from biweekly to twice per week.

A: We provide in-home services in the Chicagoland area and teletherapy for families throughout Illinois.

Q: How do I schedule an evaluation or consultation?

Q: What happens during an evaluation?

A: The evaluation includes a review of your child’s history, structured and play-based assessments, and discussion of results. You will receive a detailed report with recommendations.

Q: Do I need a referral from my pediatrician?

A: No, a referral is not required for private therapy. However, if you plan to submit claims to insurance, your provider may require one.

Payment & Insurance

Q: Do you accept insurance?

A: We are in the credentialing process with Blue Cross Blue Shield. If your insurance plan offers reimbursement for speech-language therapy, we can provide a superbill for you to submit for potential reimbursement.

Q: What are your rates?

A: Our rates vary based on the type of session (evaluation vs. therapy). Please contact us for detailed pricing.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: We require 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Sessions canceled with less notice may be subject to a fee.

Q: What is a neurodiversity-affirming approach?

A: Neurodiversity-affirming therapy respects and supports all communication styles. We focus on strengths, provide individualized support, and reject outdated “fixing” models of therapy.

Q: My child is not talking yet. Should I be concerned?

A: Every child develops at their own pace, but if you have concerns, an evaluation can provide clarity. Early support can be beneficial.

Q: My child has difficulty chewing or swallowing certain foods. Can you help?

A: Yes! We offer feeding therapy for children experiencing challenges with chewing, swallowing, food textures, or oral motor function.
